So, Shirley and I recently revisited the online dating discussion. There was an interesting story on a local news channel that described the first positive (non-commercial) perspective I've seen on using dating websites to meet people. Apparently "we live in one of the most online-dating friendly states in America. With sites like LDS Singles and LDS Planet, Virginia may be for lovers, but Utah is for online lovers."
We grew up next door to each other. Did everything right - or supposedly so. Graduated from college, married "the one" for time and all eternity, spent a couple of years establishing careers, supported our husbands, moved across the country, then jumped into the wonderful world of motherhood.
Now, 10 years later, we’re right back where we started.
OK - not exactly. Armed with our beautiful children, a survival instinct, and a few bruises after facing ultimate betrayal and heartbreak, we’re moving forward. Or determined to do so.
Since that includes dating, we know it will have adventure, embarrassment, awkwardness, disappointment, excitement, and hopefully – that definitive first kiss.
